Animals' Divine Natures

"That they might have joy in the fullness of their creation"

Throughout the presidency of Joseph F. Smith, the Church celebrated what they termed "Humane Day" once a year, which was a Sabbath in which all sacrament talks were devoted to the topic of caring and having compassion for animals as an extension of our stewardship of the earth and it's creations. The talks focused on the importance of animal life and on the special relationships that humankind and animals can have together on the earth.
